Booking Terms and Conditions
A valid credit card is required to guarantee your reservation and one night non-refundable deposit will be taken on completion of booking. You can choose to enter your credit card details on a secure server or you can send them to us by fax.
Check In and Check Out
You may check into your room any time from 2 pm on the day of arrival. Early check in may be available by prior arrangement and a charge may be incurred. If you are arriving early into Edinburgh, you are welcome to drop your luggage off at the hotel and we will store it for you so that you may enjoy your day sightseeing.
Cancellation Policy
We will always do our utmost to re-let the rooms. However if we are unable to re-let, the full value of the booking will be due if cancellation is within 7 days of arrival.
No Show or Shortened Stay – full value of the booking will be due
* Please note a 14 day cancellation period is in force during the month of August and special events such as Hogmanay, Bank Holiday weekends, Rugby International, Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh International Festival etc and full payment for August and New Year will be due 2 weeks prior to arrival
In the event of a no-show, shortened stay or cancellation within 7 days, the booking will be charged in full.
Should you wish to cancel a confirmed reservation we require notification in writing or alternatively by phoning the hotel and obtaining a cancellation number.
Please ensure you take out appropriate travel insurance just in case you have to cancel through unavoidable circumstances.
Smoking
Please note that in accordance with UK laws and regulations, we have a no-smoking policy in place for all guest bedrooms and main areas at Kildonan Lodge Hotel. Any guest found to have been smoking in their rooms or any of the public areas will automatically be charged a fee of £50 to cover full servicing costs.
Pets
Although we are dog lovers ourselves, we do not accept dogs to stay overnight in the the hotel. This is to ensure the comfort of all guests and those that may suffer from allergies.
Cots
We welcome families with infants to the hotel and do not charge for the use of a cot.
